Caring for your garden furniture
Daybeds are very easy to care for and require very little maintenance. Garden furniture covers keep your furniture looking newer for longer. They protect your furniture from bad weather, bird droppings and garden debris. Covers are made from breathable polyester which prevents a build up of mould. The covers are designed to be UV and water repellent.
If you’re not using your cushions they should be stored away. However, if you have a furniture cover you can leave your cushions underneath the cover during summer. Cushions should ideally be stored somewhere that is dry, secure and off the ground.
Garden cushions should always be cleaned by hand, machine washing will damage the water repellent coating. Cushions can be cleaned with mild soap, warm water and a clean sponge.
Rattan daybeds can be cleaned in the same way, warm soapy water and a sponge. You could also use a hose or a pressure washer on a low setting. Alternatively, a soft bristled brush can be used to remove dust and debris.
